I love GP books!

I simply adore all my Gooseberry Patch books. I read and re-read them season after season and when I get a new one I just can't wait to find a moment to myself to soak it up with a cup of tea by my side. I have resisted e-books for a long time, but when I discovered I could get Gooseberry Patch books with Amazon's free Kindle for PC software, I gave in! This book was a freebie today that I am loving already. I'm new to candy-making and I love that, as usual, GP has some great classic recipes for me to try which require just a few ingredients like fudge and buckeyes. I can't wait to try my hand at English toffee and caramel marshmallow delights. Thanks to GP for this little cookbooklet treat!

Another 'sweet' cookbook!

I just can't say it enough...I LOVE Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. Don't let the size of this book fool you...these little books are packed with delicious, tried and true recipes just like the larger spiral bound and hard back cookbooks that Gooseberry Patch has to offer!
Candy Cookbook is full of candy, lollipops and fudge (and even popcorn) recipes that are perfect for each season! And, the tips at the end of this cookbooklet are so helpful...I'll be a candy making pro in no time!!
My only problem is...which recipe do I try first??

Great book from a first time author!!

This is a first time author but the book reads like one from someone much more experienced. It deals with a young widow still reeling from the death of her husband (and her subsequent miscarriage) and the marriage of convenience she enters into with a country music star (in order to help care for his two pre-teen children so he can get full custody of them). Very enjoyable.

An intriguing family drama

Three years ago in Cordelia, Missouri her husband died in a car crash because they were negligent in fixing bad brakes. That same day bookseller Lilac Ryan lost her unborn. Now she suffers guilt partially for living and for her part in the disregard of car repair.

A Real Brain Challenge

This is a really neat book of puzzles for your Kindle. You can also download a free Kindle reader to your PC and it works fine on the PC. There are 102 puzzles starting with some fairly easy ones graduating up to some real tough ones.

Successful series at Stoney Ridge

Ah, the Amish. What do most folks know about them, except they eschew electricity and bake superlative sweets? Apparently, there's a lot more to this humble group than that. I've learned much just reading The Keeper by Suzanne Woods Fisher, the first novel in the new Stoney Ridge series about the Amish.
